Gillie Hoyte Byrom studied at the Llotja School in Barcelona where classical and contemporary enamelling techniques are taught.

She also took Master Classes with Marie Angeles Cera de Derch.

Gillie has taught enamel painting in Beijing and has visited Russia and Iran to make a comparative study of vitreous enamel painting.
